Sprigie.com ("Sprigie", "we", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of the people who use our service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you remain in control.

This policy applies to Sprigie.com and app.sprigie.com. By using Sprigie, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

We collect information in a few different ways depending on how you interact with Sprigie:

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: your name, email address, and password when you register.
• Relationship data: the names, notes, context, and conversation logs you enter about the people in your network.
• Communications: messages you send to our support or contact team.

Information we collect automatically:

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interactions within the app — to help us improve the product.
• Device and browser information: browser type, operating system, and IP address for security and analytics purposes.
• Log data: timestamps and error reports when something goes wrong, so we can diagnose and fix issues.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Sprigie service.
• Personalise your experience — including relationship reminders and AI-generated nudges.
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We process your data on the basis of contract performance (to deliver the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the product), and your consent (for optional communications).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your relationship data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes.

We may share data in limited circumstances:

• Service providers: trusted vendors who help us operate the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, authentication providers). They are bound by strict data processing agreements and may only use your data to provide services to us.
• AI model providers: when you interact with Sprigie's AI features, prompts and context may be sent to our AI infrastructure partners under confidentiality terms. Your data is not used to train their public models.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or the public.
• Business transfers: if Sprigie is acquired or merged, your data may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you and give you the option to delete your data before any such transfer.

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS). We implement access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews to protect against unauthorised access.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@sprigie.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account and all data directly from the Sprigie app settings.

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to operate the service:

• Essential cookies: required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies: help us understand how the product is used so we can improve it. You can opt out via your browser settings or account preferences.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Sprigie is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact privacy@sprigie.com and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a prominent notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of Sprigie after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised.
